RV9A Pictures

PANEL PHOTOS - September 2007

This is the second set of photos of our panel. It contains a Dynon 100 EFIS, Dynon 180 EMS/EFIS for redundancy,
Garmin SL30 Nav/Com, Garmin 327 transponder, Lowrance 2000c GPS, ICOM 760 radio,
KMA 24 audio panel with marker beacon, Sigtronics

In case of alternator failure, we added jacks to connect a headset directly
to the ICOM, the red switches enable PTT bypassing the Sigtronics.

The next set of photos were taken in June 2007.  Obviously, this portion of the project
took longer than expected (big surprise)!!

The next photo contains a frame that my friend Chet built to cut the panel and avoid mistakes.

The layout of the frame (1/2" box steel) has all the cutouts for the panel.

We used an angle grinder with a cutting blade to make the holes.

Final cuts were made with a hack saw for final cuts into the edge.

A fly cutter was used for the round holes.
